Our Kapa Haka Assembly

We're very proud of all our students. They have worked very hard to learn songs, karakias, and different hakas. We got to show off today and, even though I might be a little bit biased, I think rooms 9 & 10 were the best. Well done to you all.

Harold Comes To Visit

Harold the giraffe came to Maungaraki School to visit us all. Harold wanted to reinforce the idea that we are all unique and that we are all responsible for looking after ourselves.

Nikau Speech Finalists

Congratulations to our Nikau Syndicate Speech finalists. Our students did an awesome job representing their classes and presenting their persuasive speeches. They all did a great job and had obviously practiced heaps. Well done to all the students on the effort they put in to getting ready for speeches!

MindLab Elective


Every Wednesday afternoon a group of students from Maungaraki School go down to MindLab in Petone to work on technology challenges as part of our electives programme.
The challenges are varied and include programming, robotics, CAD drawing, 3D printing and other technological cooperative experiments.
